This project will support two summer student research assistants who will be trained as certified drone pilots and work across several field‑based research projects in southeastern Alberta. Under the guidance of the Centre for Innovation (C4i), the students will gather high‑resolution imagery and field data from local agricultural sites. The information collected will help producers better understand crop performance, water use, and land conditions, supporting more informed decisions about land management and resource efficiency.
The focus on land stewardship, water efficiency, and practical adoption of new technology reflects many of the challenges farmers and land managers are navigating today.
